Introductory Shiatsu
Living Earth Shiatsu also offers general interest Shiatsu workshops.
The 1 day Introductory Shiatsu Course teaches practical instruction
on the treatment of back, neck, shoulders, head, arms and legs using
Shiatsu.
This is an excellent beginner level class so that students
can work on family. Please contact the school for further information
on upcoming classes.
Karate
Karate a Japanese Martial Art meaning "empty hand" has
its roots in
Okinawa in the 1600's. It became popularized in the mainland of Japan
in the early 1900's and was introduced into North America after World
War II.
Karate utilizes techniques such as kicks,blocks strikes and
stances-called Kihon, as well as training in forms called Kata, and
sparring techniques called Kumite.
Belt designations begin with white then move through
yellow, green,blue,brown and then to black.
Karate strengthens the body, clears the mind and increases confidence
and awareness. Class sizes are small with attention to proper technique
and detail. Classes are held every Tuesday evening from 5:30-6:30
and
cost $10 per class or 5 for $45.
Leny Carbone 3rd dan Black belt has been practicing
Karate sice 1993 and is also the Director of Living Eatrh Shiatsu
School.
