Shiatsu Therapy, originating in Japan and having roots in China, has had a considerable surge of popularity in the West. Shiatsu, Japanese for "finger pressure" involves applying pressure to areas (meridians and points, tsubos), located all over the body. Shiatsu offers a safe, natural, drug-free way of facilitating change and is a viable therapeutic modality and branch of complimentary medicine. The ability to reach out and touch someone, to make a difference and to take health in your own hands is at risk of becoming a lost art in our fast paced modern world.
Karate meaning "empty hand" or "Chinese hand" is a centuries old style of self defence and martial arts originating in Okinawa and then migrating to mainland Japan. Karate trains the mind and body and cultivates discipline, focus, awareness and confidence. Karate practice consists of Kihon (Basics), Kumite (Sparring) and Kata (Forms) as well as the study of Bunkai (Application) of the Katas. At Living Earth we offer attentive detailed instruction in a positive training environment. Living Earth Karate Club is a small dojo offering high quality, traditional Karate instruction. Sensei Leny has over 20 years of training in Karate and focuses on teaching "Atemi" or specific point attack. He has studied with many high level teachers such as Kyoshi T. Belle, Kancho T Okuyama, Shihan Ian Siler and Kyoshi Dusan Kljiac. Sensei Leny brings his dedication and teachings experience into all classes he teaches.

Ki Therapy (flyer)
Ki Therapy TM is a unique blend of gentle and pressure based bodywork techniques. Techniques are similar to Reiki but specific areas and "Tsubos" are used to release blockages in the body. Visualization and meditation techniques are also incorporated into the teaching as Ki building exercises.
Ki Therapy ™ uses Traditional Chinese Medicine theory of Ying/Yang, meridian theory and tsubo theory as its basis for treatment. Treatment can be administered on the floor or on a table. Ki Therapy ™ is an excellent way to treat palliative and chronic conditions and facilitates tissue repair. Classes are taught in small groups with personalized teaching. Ki therapy also utilizes the use of symbols on or near the body to help with the healing process.
Classes are taught every Monday from 1-3pm excluding Statutory holidays.
Course fee $40 per class.
