Shihan Leny is a very compassionate and calm person. I have known him for about 20 years and have never seen him lose his temper. Not only does he possess a deep knowledge of Karate techniques but he also brings a mind / spiritual dimension to Karate from his other profession as a Shiatsu Therapist. His classes are relaxed and fun.

I have been studying with Leny Carbone for 18 years because he is a very knowledgeable, gentle and skilled teacher. I enjoy the Shiatsu workshops and retreats tremendously because my shiatsu practice is deepened, but I also have a lot of fun with Leny and other students. Leny always has a nugget of wisdom or a technique to share because of his love of Shiatsu and learning as well. Thanks Leny for being pretty awesome!

After seven years of undiagnosed chronic pain and severe weakness, I booked an appointment with Leny on the recommendation of a trusted friend. I arrived in an electric wheelchair and, due to my weakness, needed help to get into the treatment room. Within three months I was walking on my own and have not used the wheelchair since (over two years ago). When I got strong enough, I joined Lenny’s Qi exercise class, which further helped, so much so that I eventually joined his karate classes, which I continue to attend today. I spent several years and a lot of money trying to find someone who could help me. Since coming to Leny, I have been able to stop looking. It is a tremendous relief – indeed, a true privilege -- to know my health is in good hands. Lenny is experienced, skillful, and very kind to boot. The treatments are enjoyable and I rely on them to maintain my still-improving health.
